SERVE In Your Place of Ministry
We’re glad you’ve chosen to find out how to serve in your place of ministry. This class is the third of The Father’s House core classes. Since these classes build on each other, you should have already attended CONNECT WITH YOUR CHURCH FAMILY, Class 101 and GROW TO BECOME LIKE CHRIST, Class 201 before taking this class.
At The Father's House, we're convinced that you must first be committed to membership in a church family and committed to the habits for spiritual maturity before you are ready for ministry. CONNECTING and GROWING are the foundation for SERVING.
PURPOSE OF THIS CLASS:
What God made you to BE determines what He intends for you to DO. You will understand the purpose you were created for when you understand the kind of person you are. This is the secret of knowing God's will for your life!
God is consistent in His plan for your life. He would not give you inborn talents and temperaments, spiritual gifts, and all sorts of life experiences and then not use them! By reviewing and studying these factors, you can discover the ministry He has for you... the unique way God intends for you to serve Him.
The two results of discovering the ministry you've been S.H.A.P.E.d for are: fulfillment and fruitfulness.
The purpose is the same goal that Epaphras had for the Colossian Christians. He said, "That you may become mature Christians and that you may fulfill God's will for you."
FOCUS OF THIS CLASS:
You are the focus of this class. At The Father’s House, we focus on an individual approach to ministry rather than an institutional approach. This class will focus on your S.H.A.P.E. (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences)
the “real” you.
After identifying these specific traits you will meet with the Spiritual Resources Department to discover the ministry that you are shaped for.
GOAL OF THIS CLASS:
That you will DISCOVER your unique design (S.H.A.P.E.) for ministry and commit to
DEVELOP and USE your God-given gifts and abilities in serving Him and others through this church family.
That you will SELECT and begin SERVING in the ministry of this church that best
EXPRESSES what God made you to be.
